Case study · E-commerce

Six configurations per build, 139 cities at checkout, and a total the browser cannot set.

brikc.it sells LEGO-style scale builds in Pakistan, boxed or assembled, with LED-lit display frames to put them in. We built the full store and the admin behind it: a configurator on every product, checkout for 139 cities across 7 provinces, order totals priced by the database rather than the browser, and an admin for orders, stock, coupons and verified reviews, with a sales dashboard.

The brikc.it homepage: a red "Free delivery across Pakistan" banner, navigation for Best Sellers, Shop, Displays, Guides and Under 10k, and the headline "Buy it built or build it yourself." beside four assembled scale-model vehicles, three sports cars and a pickup truck, on a lit display floor.

The brief

brikc.it sells each build in more than one form: in the box or assembled, on its own or in a frame. The store had to sell every one of those forms, and come with the admin to run it.

  • Every build in six configurations Each build had to be sold unassembled or assembled, with no frame, a plain frame or an LED frame, chosen on the product page itself.
  • Checkout for 139 cities Checkout had to serve 139 cities across 7 provinces, with three ways to pay.
  • Totals the browser cannot set Every order total had to be priced by the database, so a price edited in the browser changes nothing.
  • A back office for the store Orders, stock, coupons and verified reviews run from the store's own admin, with a sales dashboard alongside.

A collector's store, in other words, with the order system to match.

What we built

Two halves: the storefront, where a collector browses, configures and checks out, and the admin behind it, which the store is run from.

  1. The storefrontThe storefront is organised as Best Sellers, Shop, Displays and Under 10k, with booklet guides alongside. A How it works section sets out the path in three steps: pick a build, choose the format, and it is built and delivered.
  2. A configurator on every productTwo choices on each product page: unassembled or assembled, then no frame, a plain frame or LED. That gives six configurations per build.
  3. Checkout and paymentIt serves 139 cities across 7 provinces, and takes payment by bank, JazzCash or Easypaisa.
  4. Pricing at the databaseThe database sets every order total, and a price tampered with in the browser is ignored.
  5. The admin that runs the storeOrders, stock, coupons and verified reviews are managed in the admin, with a sales dashboard alongside them.

What changed

  • Every format sells from the build's own page How a build arrives, in the box or assembled, bare or framed, is settled on the page where the collector chose it.
  • The order carries the store's price Whatever a visitor's browser sends, the total an order records is the one the database priced.
  • The store is run from its own admin The running of the store, from orders and stock to coupons and reviews, sits in one admin, with the sales dashboard beside it.
